Sugar production reached 3.87 million tons in the second half of August 2025. Since the beginning of the 2025/2026 harvest up to September 1st, 2025, accumulated sugar production reached 26.76 million tons while in the same period at 2024/2025 harvest season it was reported 27.28 million tons. The volume of ethanol produced reached 2.42 billion liters in the second half of August. Cumulative ethanol output for the harvest stood 18.48 billion liters, comprising 6.91 billion liters of anhydrous ethanol and 11.57 billion liters of hydrous ethanol. Of the total fuel produced in the second half of August 2025, 405.92 million liters of biofuel were produced from corn.
