ITF 2026 Summit: Funding Resilient Transport

May 6 - May 8
ITF

The ITF 2026 Summit on Funding Resilient Transport takes place from 6 to 8 May 2026 in Leipzig, Germany. The Summit is held under the Presidency of Azerbaijan, with Czechia as the first Vice-President. The International Transport Forum’s Annual Summit is the world’s largest gathering of transport ministers and the premier global transport policy event. Each year, it brings together decision-makers and thought leaders to shape the future of transport.

The 2026 theme is the second in the 2025-2027 Summit trilogy on transport resilience, under the broad thematic framework “Fostering Resilient and Inclusive Net-zero Transport”.

The 2026 Summit brings together governments, financial leaders, international organisations, the private sector, academia and civil society to explore how to finance transport systems that can withstand future shocks. The programme will centre on three thematic tracks; social, environmental, and economic:

· Funding Resilient Transport for a Just Transition (social)

· Financing Shockproof Transport for a Sustainable Transition (environmental)

· Investing in Resilient Transport for a Prosperous Economy (economic)

These thematic tracks will intersect with four cross-cutting themes: innovation, capacity building, stakeholder co-operation, and governance.
