Sugar production reached 3.62 million tons in the first half of August 2025. Since the beginning of the 2025/2026 harvest up to August 16th, 2025, accumulated sugar production reached 22.89 million tons while in the same period at 2024/2025 harvest season it was reported 24.01 million tons. The volume of ethanol produced reached 2.19 billion liters in the first half of August. Cumulative ethanol output for the harvest stood 16.07 billion liters, comprising 5.95 billion liters of anhydrous ethanol and 10.12 billion liters of hydrous ethanol. Of the total fuel produced in the first half of August 2025, 373.94 million liters of biofuel were produced from corn.
