DESCRIPTION:The maritime transport sector contributes nearly 3% of global greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions\, making it a key priority in international climate negotiations. The International Maritime Organization (IMO) has set ambitious targets to reduce the carbon intensity of international shipping by at least 40% by 2030 and to achieve net-zero emissions by 2050.
